What is creatine?

Creatine is a substance naturally produced by the liver, kidneys, and pancreas. A phosphate group is released from ATP in order to produce energy, ADP (Adenosine Di-phosphate) is formed due to the loss of a phosphate group and is therefore unable to initiate another muscle contraction. Phosphocreatine then donates a phosphate group to depleted ADP to form ATP again. Thus creatine replenishes phosphate stores in order to initiate muscle contraction.


What makes creatine HCL superior to other types of creatine?

Adding hydrochloride to creatine decreases the pH, causing it to be more acidic and therefore causes increased solubility of creatine in fluids. Creatine HCL is absorbed 60% better than creatine monohydrate, therefore smaller dosage can be used for similar effects and less is wasted. Unlike creatine monohydrate, creatine HCL causes no water retention, cramping, bloating, or gastrointestinal issues. No loading phase or cycling is required due to maximal absorption.
