If you feel like a quick snack or something sweet to eat, then you have to give this High Protein French toast a try. This recipe has a low carbohydrate content and is packed with protein and healthy fats.


  • 2 egg whites
    (1 if you have extra-large eggs)
  • 40ml of Almond milk
  • 30g whey protein
  • 2 slices of low carb bread
  • Honey
  • Cinnamon


  • Mix the egg whites, almond milk and whey protein in a bowl until smooth
  • Place the bread into the bowl
  • Turn the bread over covering the bread entirely with the high protein mixture
  • Spray a pan with non-stick spray and place on a medium to high heat on the stove
  • Place the bread in the pan and fry until golden brown
  • Top with cinnamon and honey

I especially love having this high protein french toast for breakfast after an early morning workout. It replenishes glycogen levels with the honey topping, fuels your body with carbs and essential fats and builds muscle with protein. What more could you ask for?
